Thank god summer is over!
Watch our Freeriderslife Trailer "TRIANGLE".. proud to be a part of it!
We were filming over the 2014-15 season which was a pretty cool year... with ups and downs. I took a few serious slams over the winter but nothing was broken except my helmet and skis. The whole project was shot in Austria, Switzerland,  India and Korsika and will be released at national and international outdoor movie festivals, like the Alp-Con Cinematour.

Curry-Powder adventure in India!

In early February, the FreeRidersLife crew and me travelled to Gulmarg, Kashmir, India to film a segment for our new project. Part of the crew was our filmer Peter Moser (Artisual - The art of visualisation), Felix Gattinger, Mario Gattinger and Jules Theking. After 36 hours of traveling and an endless baggage discussion at the airport in New Delhi and a two hour drive on a bumpy mountain road after our arrival in Srinagar we finally made it to Gulmarg with a heavy jetlag. Gulmarg is a small mountain town at 2900 m of elevation, they got an old gondola with 4000 m at top station and also a heli operation company. The marvellous landscape of the Himalayas absolutely blew our minds.

Because of big avalanche danger and bad weather periods, we were not able to take advantage of the heli for the first three weeks of the trip.

We tried to do some stuff in the lower woods but the snow conditions were heavy and wet for most of the time and the gondola wasn't operating when it was "snowing". Sometimes it wasn't easy to handle but everybody was able to collect a few good shots. When it was sleeting, we just stayed in our hotel and watched the hundrets of  snow monkeys doing their stuff in the trees next to our room. They also made it into our hood while we were sleeping with an open window... that escalatet pretty quick! ;-)

After two weeks of more or less barreness, we decided to give Kashmirs capital "Srinagar" a visit. We stayed three nights on a houseboat on "Del Lake" wich was a great experience. The city was dusty, rubbish-strewn and hectic as fuck. Also the fact that there is military at every corner was totally new for us. The very reverse of what we are used to in Europe but it still looks like kashmiris got a bigger joy of living than our fellows at home

When we went back to Gulmarg the snow conditions were still the same... the waiting game was on again. Fortunately the sky cleared up in the last days of our trip and the snowpack was able to settle. After 25 days of killing time, we finally took off with the heli. While flying trough the Himalayas you realize how much bigger the mountains are than thouse back home. We skied some super fun lines and each of us came down with a big smile! We closed our trip with two phenomenal heli days and caught the last plane leaving Kashmir. The airport was closed after a huge low pressure system was rolling in and should bring over two meters of fresh cold snow in the following days...bad timing! All in all it was a super fun and successful trip with very special experiences!

Deepest POW day in my live!

My home resorts around the Bregenzerwald in Vorarlberg were getting dumped as hell at the end of December. We had one meter of fresh in three days and I forced the FreeRidersLife buds to come around from Innsbruck. When we went up the mountain on Dec 30th shit was really on.. 50 cm overnight and it kept snowing japan style. Over 150 cm of champaign pow and that's what it looks like.. FreeRidersLife!

Our movie "Drawing Lines" was filmed all over Austria, Italy and Japan.
Great times with the boyz.. thanks to everybody involved!

A new season has started!

I hope all of you had a great summertime and is already stoked for the upcoming ski season. Besides of some downhill biking, hangin at the lake and some partys, my summer was full of working shifts. Two months of building organs in churches, two months driving a fork lifter and two more months of night shifts on the assembly line...Thank god summer is over!!! =)

Thanks to Klaus Listl - Freezing Motions for taking the shot!

I moved back to Innsbruck in early October where I´m going to stay for the whole season studying sports management and earning as much days on the mountain as possible. We already had a few kicker sessions and scored face shots in some fine lines. Not the most snow up there but it works! Have a look at my first jump of this weekends kicker session in Sölden... so good to air again!

Also check out my POV edit I made out of the footage filming with Freeriderslife over the last season.

Watch the full Freeriderslife - "Drawing Lines" movie to see the external shots!

Hope you like my stuff as I will drop a few more videos in the next weeks.
I wish everybody a great start into the new season, stay safe and keep it simple!
